-2- We trust, therefore that Mr. West will let us know when he will next be in London in the immediate future and at any time convenient to him, we shall be pleased to give him a full demonstration. Owing to the novel optical features of the Lamp, it has to be of an entirely different shape to the ordinary lamps with parabolic reflectors. We attach hereto drawing giving overall dimensions and would mention that the overall width of the lamp i.e., over the nuts fixing the bracket to the lamp, is 7¾". The general appearance of the lamp is shown on the pamphlet which we have already sent you. After seeing the demonstration at this office, the London Passenger Transport Board are now carrying out exhaustive tests on the Lamps, as their Engineers appreciate the possibilities in regard to anti-glare and fog-penetration which this lamp possesses. We are sending a copy of this letter to Mr. Cox. Yours faithfully for BANTING & TRESILIAN. LIMITED. AST/DMW. | ||
