Jenner} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH.2/SW.26.7.41. R.A.F. B.80 Alum. Scheme FL.769, has been done to incorporate a filter in the rocker oil feed, to ensure a clean oil supply to the Halford Tappets. The Phantom lll. filter has been modified, with an alum. body, and a non-return valve incorporated to prevent oil draining back from the rocker system. As the existing alum. crankcase has no bosses for the tappet oil filter, a flanged plate support bracket has been shown, attached to the existing filter bosses.
