X.2565 "R" SERIES MATERIAL.

The following sections have been held up in view of the possibility of the Experimental Dept. wishing to bring in improvements for the various sections on the above series.

a.{Mr Adams} Petrol Tank. X.3888/9

The question of side filler, level indicator, and provision for emergency scheme combined in tank.

b. Dunlop Wheels. X.3725

Whether we are to go on to type of wheel suitable for straight-sided tyres.

c. Rear Engine Feet. X.4062

We have not heard anything in regard to the proposal of using drop forgings for the engine feet in place of the steel castings. We have not ordered any steel castings for "R" Series, and would like to have your comments on the possibilities of the drop forge scheme.

d.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Wiring. X.4084

The real issue here is the question of whether we should use the 10d. Switch, 1d. Switch Box, Junction Box and Locked Ignition Switch. In connection with this, certain items on the steering column switch and also the switch for the Klaxon Horn as a unit, are held up.
