I have to-day had a letter from one of our owners, Mr. Sidney, whose address is :-

Moreton,
Holly Place,
Hampstead.

Doubtless you will remember Mr. Sidney is one of our old and very enthusiastic owners of a 40/50 H.P. Rolls-Royce, and that he is very keen on mountaineering with his car. Also that he has complained bitterly in the past about the difficulty he has experienced because of overheating with his car.

He has just returned from a tour, which included many Alpine Passes, and he writes to me to the effect that there has been shown a marked improvement in the tendency to overheat resulting from certain work which was done at Derby to his car before he left England some time, perhaps, two months back.

I want you, please, and this matter is very urgent, to let me know as quickly as possible exactly what jobs were done to this car in order to tackle the owner's complaint as to overheating -

(a) Is the radiator of normal capacity ?
(b) Was the compression increased ?
(c) What is the gear ratio of the axle ?
(d) Has he a high speed fan ?
(e) Has the bonnet side louvres ?

I am anxious to know as soon as possible what may account for the improvement.
