| LID{A. J. Lidsey} X223. To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} E.7/HP.27.6.33. re Bentley Exhaust Pipe over rear axle. We find considerable difficulty in making a practical job of the above, having regard to the close proximity of the axle and suspension, and also the rear seat. It must be remembered that the silencer must have room to swing, and to expand backwards. We think it would be advisable to push on with the experiment, to introduce a baffle into the silencer with the straight pipe passing under the axle. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
