| X223. To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} c. Wer. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}9/MP.23.6.33. Bentley Exhaust Cutout. Please receive herewith LeC.3544 showing the exhaust cutout for the above. It will be noticed that we are using the Silver Ghost cutout box and valve. This slightly reduces the ground clearance at this spot, but it cannot be avoided if we insist on using these pieces. The reason for using this in preference to our original design, which was a mushroom valve, is with a view to making the exhaust noise a pleasant tone. E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} | ||
