E.Fe. Mr. Hives. COPY. X 3960 H15/EB16.3.20. Laboratory. X.3960 RE BRAKE LININGS. x 1296 These were tested by gradually heating up from about 250°C, when it was found that the materials broke down in the following order:- Thermoid at about 310 C, Gripite 330°C, Raybestos 400°C, Garco 450°C. These are only approximate figures. I am sending you the remains which have been heated up to the temperature stated for each piece. The holes drilled in the pieces indicate their mark if taken in the same order as above, first 1 hole, second 2 holes, third 4 holes, and the best 3 holes. HCH. Ey MAR 26 1920 RECEIVED | ||
