Experimental Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}12/KT. November 30th 1933. Mr. Roland Chilton, Wright Aeronautical Corp., Paterson, New Jersey, U.S.A. Dear Chilton, Mr. Coverley who manufactures all our experimental parts is leaving for America next week to see something of the manufacturing methods used in the States. He is particularly interested in the production of lead bronze bearings and magnesium forgings. Amongst other things Mr. Coverley was responsible for the manufacture of the Schneider Trophy engines. He would particularly like to see your factory, and I should be very grateful if you could manage to arrange this for him. I have asked him to get into touch with you when he arrives in New York. Yours sincerely, | ||
