The effects of low oil levels on the Bijur device and starting a dry oil system.

- 7 - This has the effect that - (a) It is impossible on the Bijur device to pump air into the line when the oil level falls. The pump becomes inoperative when the tank runs dry. (b) In starting up a new and absolutely dry system oil flows into the bottom of the pump past the open valve, so that there is no difficulty in starting up a dry system. Since I have some notes from England about priming the oil lines, which we have never found it necessary to do, I believe this matter may be worth examining. OY M COPY | ||
