Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/AD.7.7.32.

Referring to your report of 4.7.32, we should like to have more particulars as regards the seizing of the synchromesh mechanism. When it was in the seized condition, was it that you could not get it into top or out of top? Please let us have all particulars.

Performance.

In this report you state that the general performance is good. In the previous report, however, it was stated that it was thought to be below the average. We are waiting for you to supply the actual figures. We are also very keen to know whether the maximum speed can be maintained without the engine fading away.

I think I pointed out to you before the car went away that as this car has already been to France, the proposal is that it shall run a 10,000 mile test only. This means that we hand the car over to Sales after 9,000 miles. We have given Sales the end of this month as an approximate date when they can take over the car.
