Minutes.

Any for Export should be altered. Will Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} please send HY{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} immediately a list of any chassis in the first 100 A.{Mr Adams} and 100 B. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} Series allocated for export.

VI. Continental Bentley.

Reference was made to the revised special points as given in Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}2/R.30.11.38 and Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} said that the real position was that we should like to have at least 6 of these available in time for the announcement before the Show, the latest date for which was likely to be the end of September.

He also asked for a programme to be got out for the different stages so that it could be followed up.

We also want a different name from Continental for the reasons explained.

VII. Wraith Car Performance.

Reference was made to Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}14/KW13.12.38. The real position is that there is no reason why the performance, i.e. maximum speed should be any better than a 25/30 but at the same time it should not be any worse.

VIII. Bentley Publicity.

Referring to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/R.29.11.38 this was gone through and it was decided to go ahead on the general lines in regard to articles.

In regard to the other part, i.e. high speed tests, it was decided to take these in stages, the first one to be a worth while achieved on a German Autobahn and this was left for Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} to discuss with Sr. when he is over here after Christmas as the question arises of getting the Emkin Paulin Bentley etc.

The next point is a record at Montlhery carried out by some one like George Eyston but this will be gone further into after we have carried out the first stage.
