During a visit to Messrs.Lucas Works on Monday last the 11th instant we discussed with Mr.Neill their Lamp Designer the possibility of a new type P.100 lamp having special features such as extra streamlining and lightened parts, for the Bentley Chassis. He stated that following our suggestions on these lines a few weeks ago the matter had been raised with Mr.Oliver Lucas and he has agreed to a new model being schemed out which will be called the PS100 and will have a much more sporting appearance, more streamlined shell and curved front glass, but they will not agree to introduce this lamp this season and promised us that by next year they hoped to put such a lamp on the Market. In response to our suggestion however they are immediately looking into the question at any rate of lightening the existing P.100 lamp. Mr. Neill stated that the matter was now under investigation and he hoped to have two lamps prepared with lightened features one of which he would send to us for experimental tests on the Bentley chassis with a standard lamp, and the other would be put on their shaking rig for similar tests.
