S.P.81 S. SMITH & SONS (Motor Accessories) LTD., CRICKLEWOOD WORKS, LONDON. N.W.2. CONTINUATION NO 2. Messrs Rolls Royce Ltd. Re: Petrol Gauge Cable. We notice that you find that the Rubber Covering of the above deteriorates rapidly when partly close to the Silencer, and we are getting into touch with our cable manufacturers immediately with a view to their making up a special sample of cable to meet your particular requirements. We propose that each core should be cotton lapped and V.I.R. covered. The three cores should be cotton lapped and covered with a layer of varnished fabric, and the whole braided together. In connection with this, we take it that the overall diameter must not exceed the existing limit of 0.25" Yours faithfully, for S. SMITH & SONS (MOTOR ACCESSORIES) LIMITED. C.P. Hamell ELECTRICAL ENGINEER. | ||
