DEPOT CONFERENCES.

We recommend that the method of obtaining an Agenda for a Depot Conference should be revised. At the recent meeting 75% of the points were not discussed at all, and could not be discussed with any advantage. Of the remaining 25%, probably 10% could have been settled if the Depots had used Hancock in the right way.

We suggest that in the future Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} and GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} should be responsible for submitting every three months a list of points which they consider call for extended discussion. This Agenda can then be considered by your-self Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and Ey., and a meeting called if it is decided that the situation warrants it. On the other hand, no meeting would be called unless it was agreed to be necessary.

At the present moment, the 25/30 is out of production, the Bentley has been with us so long that there is practically no point of complaint on it for which there is not already a cure, and, in any case, only 100 more cars have been made. In our opinion, we have a cure for almost all the troubles on the P.III, it is only a question of using up existing material before they can be applied. After the Wraith has been in customers hands six months, it is very probable that a meeting might be useful, but until then we doubt if points which arise could not be more satisfactorily settled by Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} and GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} as and when they arise.

We still feel that N. are not making sufficient use of GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}, and that this was proved by some of the entirely unnecessary points which they raised at the Conference.
