I have had instructions signed E.M. 17/11/11 to fit 'shield for protecting oil pump & pipes leading from sump to the base of the crankchamber.'
The Car is now in test dept.
Please let Technical Committee decide this point. The pump is already protected. I do not see how to protect the pipe in its present position except by fitting a large undersheet somewhat as on Speed Trials car & such would be contrary to Mr Royce's wishes.
