In reply to your memo. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 3/LG5.9.22., it is true that Mr. Royce at one time in the discussion said that he did not wish the chassis raised .5", but when it was demonstrated that it was impossible to shorten the pendulum lever, he then thought that for the sake of the geometry it would be necessary to have the chassis like the sample. I am under the impression that the production chassis that we were looking at was raised in this way. If that is not the case of course that settles the question.
