Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Mr. West,

Confirming telephonic conversation, I am hoping that as a result of our investigations since your last visit we shall shortly be able to give you some favourable news as regards price reductions in the case of the A.T. instruments.

Meanwhile, concerning your observations and the comparison you made of the A.T. and Smith instruments, I am wondering whether you care to submit your views so that I can pursue this matter? At present the instruments are so very different in design that it would be interesting to know just how far you would like A.T. to go. I take it for instance you would not have them disturb the actual mechanism. It will, of course, be necessary to aim at a more rigid design of case than the Smith.

Any help you can give me in this direction will be much appreciated.

Yours very truly,
