x7941d. To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} Notes re PHANTOM II Chassis 23-EX 1 - Thermostat closes too early, 70º - 73º. 2 - Shutters do not close fully, due apparently to insertion of a rubber block behind the centre lamp. 3 - Front Springs tend to bounce at times. Rear suspension is excellent. 4 - Nivex Gauge does not function. Possibly Pump at fault. 5 - No air intake fitted. 6 - Valve tapping badly. 7 - Near side front door does not close properly. 8 - Front Wheel Brakes somewhat on the fierce side. 9 - Slight steering wobble at 60 m.p.h and upwards, possibly due to the Tyre, as tread of one has practically worn smooth. Otherwise steering excellent. 10 - Lucas Horn poor, and as a Road signal not to be compared with the present standard Klaxon. | ||
