'screen on the offside front of the driver shattered when I was driving it about 70 m.p.h. luckily it was Triplex, therefore, there were no serious results.

We encountered several heavy rain storms in France and the water pours through between the hood of the front screen and makes it most unpleasant for people in the front seat.

The following are the log particulars of this car:-

Speedometer reading at Chateauroux 31873
Speedometer reading at Lillie Hall at end of test 32620
Our mileage 747

We left Chateauroux with a full tank of petrol, 18 pints of oil in the engine and radiator full of water.

During the journey 120 litres of petrol were added in France and 12 gallons at Folkestone.

The petrol consumption worked out on the entire journey at approximately 10.8 m.p.g. as far as it was possible to tell with a rather inaccurate petrol gauge.

4 Litres of oil were added at Paris. At no time was it necessary to add water to the radiator and when I left the car at Lillie Hall, I inspected the radiator and found that the loss of water on the whole test was negligible.
