Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/ML.13.5.40. ELECTRICALLY OPERATED GEARBOXES. I was interested to read Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}16/JH.3.5.40. I have come to the conclusion that the next box that we tackle after the junior rationalised conventional unit must be an electrically operated type. I suggest that Bowers should be able to help you on the calculations with regard to the minimum size of magnet and that you should put some queries up to him at once so that we shall have the answers by the time we are ready to do something about it.
