BENTLEY 50. CHASSIS.

SEMI- FLOATING REAR AXLE.

[Handwritten Initials]

Please receive herewith blueprints of G.CD.920 showing a semi-floating rear axle for the above chassis.

The centre casing and end covers for this scheme will be as shown on G.CD.892 for the B.lll chassis.

The axle tube is, with the exception of its length, also the same as that shown for the B.lll chassis.

The brake parts have, as far as possible, been made interchangeable for Bentley lll and 50.

The spring suspension bracket is of the same type as drawn on G.CD.892, but the dimensions are made suitable for a 2.250 wide spring.

As B.lll has already a temporary semi-floating axle for 15,000 miles test, it is proposed that G.CD.920 for B.50 should be detailed, only those parts on G.CD.892 which are common to both cars being detailed.
