SEMI-FLOATING REAR AXLE. With further reference to DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}10/G.5.9.38. the comparative cost of the two alternative schemes shewn on PD.259 was dependent on the cost of the special roller bearing shewn on the upper scheme, and we sent details to Messrs. Hoffmann to obtain this. Attached to RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/SB{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}'s copy is Messrs. Hoffmann's quotation, and we shall be glad if a comparative cost can now be given us, so that we may decide on which scheme to adopt. There is no reason why we should not use Messrs. Hoffmanns standard material for this bearing. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
