Sleater says that Alfa's are trying it on the monoposta, and Hispanos are also interested. We first tried the system on a V.8. Ford fitted with a very light Weyman fabric saloon. 2 C.W.T. lighter than standard. This car had terrific acceleration, rotten brakes, but was by far the most controllable car of any description that I have ever tried. Even cornering fast enough to scream tyres, one was not frighten to apply uneven brakes hard when one foot from the curb. For my personal use I thought it was excellent. The riding was slightly hard, but no sign of pitching. Not the trace of steering an road shock on the worst road. I just imagined how marvellous it would be on a Bentley. We later tried the | ||
