On the whole the steering wheel was quite steady. there were however 3 fairly violent reactions. But the joke was, that before we reached the end of the pavé, there was an almighty crack and nuts, bolts, washers and brackets sprayed out from behind. The car then sunk at the N.S. rear and crashed on the buffers frequently. The test was thus curtailed. later I tried a 12 cylinder Hispano, except for the engine its does explain how some people prefer our cars. The afternoon was very interesting.
