Thank you for your note of the 3rd. concerning the attached memo.

I beg to confirm that C & A Washer is meant in the fourth paragraph mentioned by you.

The trouble with C & A Washers, of course, is in evidence on both pre-war and post-war cars. The rest of my comments are concerning post-war cars.
