CHP. From HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/ACL. Y5080 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/ACL.2/W.24.4.30. SUGGESTED PROGRAMME FOR 20 HP. TWIN CARBURETTER TESTS. Y5080 X1053 (1) Power curve with Std. engine. That is, 2 1/2 to 1 compression ratio, 110° Camshaft, and Std. production carburetter (17% larger). (2) Results with twin Zenith carburetter tested with the large and small diameter induction pipes. From results of these tests select the better pipe and test out various chokes in the carburetter, using the smallest choke which will just maintain maximum power. (3) Use the best combination from above experiment and repeat tests with 112° camshaft. (4) If 112° camshaft shews promise, test 116° camshaft. (5) We shall probably require modified ignition timing. Determine the best timing. (6) When power output experiment is completed we can concentrate upon obtaining the best metering. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/ACL. | ||
