It will also be noticed that the charging
switch need only be a three-point switch for the Smith
machine but that the R.R. switchboard as already instructed
could of course be used by simply omitting one contact
of the switch.

Perhaps you would kindly let us have your
views on this matter so that we may be clear in what
direction we should proceed.
