We have gone over the whole brake system and re-set as follows according to GCD.457.

1) Rods from R5 and R6 to front brakes each measured 12.500". Shortened to 12.150". Dumb bells appeared correct 2.200"

2) R5 measured 9.187". Shortened to 9.100".

3) R6 measured 19.187". Shortened to 19.150"

4) Rods between T2 L5 & W.

This happens to bring idler lever L5 into a more sensible position than the drawing figures would.

5) Rod on servo correct 5.625"

6) R3 when set 13.750" had only 1/4" in thread.
This length is however right to centralise equaliser, so a lock nut was fitted at both ends of rod to get more length.

7) R4 was set correctly 20.750"

8) B.I. was 29.062" when set at its shortest possible length. Drawing gives 29.000. When set thus, the bell cranks D1 and D2 were about a third of the way towards the on position. B.I. was therefore set at 29.437" which just held D1 and D2 away from off position and left .522" of thread in yoke at front end of B.I.
