C O P Y. "Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}" Ps7/IL23.12.27. Re Ignition Coils. Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}12/EW19.12.27. I find we issued during 1927 - 32 Coils : To Shops - 21. To Nice Depot - 2. To Biarritz. - 1. To Customers. - 8. I cannot say that we are getting an undue number of complaints of defective coils, as far as this Depot is concerned; the main complaint died with the advent of the improved and long type. The reason we have used so many coils can be explained quite satisfactorily. We always change the short and obsolete coil for the longer type on overhauls, and when the work to be executed warrants our including this change against the customer. Some have been used for converting 4 volt to 12 volt ignition. There is no cause for undue anxiety on this part, from our point of view. Ps. | ||
