For the attention of Mr. Skinner.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 29th inst., regarding the bent contact blade supports. We understood that this practice had been discontinued subsequent to the visit Mr. Hancock and I paid you.

However, we have written to Mr. Hancock, enclosing a copy of your letter, and will find out exactly what the position is, trusting the matter will be finally cleared up.

We should be interested to know the actual number of pumps returned to you with faults directly attributed to bent blades.

We appreciate your position with regard to the guarantee, but must point out that only those pumps giving trouble in service have been altered in this way.

We should be interested to know how you are progressing with the quietened pumps, and also when you will be in a position to supply the G.J diaphragms.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
