BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} ----- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}20/G.21.11.38. Mr. Clark has sent you reports upon AC.2 bearings, and has given you oil flow figures. We are not at the moment certain of the times of oil flow tests with the cars fitted with AC.2 bearings, as these have got the full modifications of holes in the crankshaft, consequently the flow of oil will be greater with bearings in good condition. We are of the opinion that the time factor will be nearer three minutes than otherwise under this condition, but we are not certain at this moment. We propose to take time figures after a mod. C. has been carried out with new bearings etc. to try and establish a time factor. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} | ||
