Chronos Works,
North Circular Road,
London, N. W. 2.

For the attention of Mr. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} R.{Sir Henry Royce} Buckland.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 9th inst ref HRB/B having reference to the sample speedometer submitted for test with the new type total mileage recorder.

The trip recorder has now started functioning again after a "rest" of 500 miles, for no apparent reason. We propose to carry on however with our test and would then like to be able to dismantle the instrument for inspection if you are agreeable.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS ROYCE LIMITED.
