INSTABILITY OF G.1. STEERING.

We carried out a test to see if we could ascertain the reason for the marked instability of G.1. steering on largèr locks.

As a test*, we reversed the Micheline disc wheels to throw the steering a considerable amount out of centre-point. The result was that the steering became very indefinite and somewhat heavy. It did not however take charge on corners as much as previously.

We are carrying out experiments with the torque arm on this chassis.
