RR.300 (120B) (SP.{Mr Spinney}349 24-1-19) MP.200552 91270 ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To E.F.C. Order No. P.A.54. Customer's No. Re X 2894 Date Jan 10th 1921 The points were replaced dirty, but with no better results. They were then cleaned with petrol, and the breaker gap reduced, with the result that better sparking was obtained. The gap was still further reduced when it was found that with a setting of .012" regular sparking was obtained on 6-8 to 70 m/m spark gaps, with very little sparking at the contact-breaker. The machine then commenced a run with this new contact-breaker setting, but after 10 hrs, the soldered point came off. Signed C.A.P. This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
