GYK-10 -- Sales Trials. Monday Feb/7/27 This car had been given repeated trouble with engine choking and dense smoke emitting from the silencer, I asked Bk{A. Birkett - Commercial Manager} if I could assist in locating the trouble and having received the necessary permission I investigated and found that the float of the autovac was practically filled with petrol, I presumed this to be through the suction valve having stuck at sometime, although it was perfectly free when I had it down. I emptied this by putting the float into hot water and reassembled the autovac. The car was tested for a long period after this and on its return I dismantled the autovac again and found the float to be quite dry. I reset the carburetter jets to standard as these had been altered by various people, and the car was passed O.K. by Bk.{A. Birkett - Commercial Manager} H.Henning. | ||
