To Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Copy to Ey/SE. By/Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} 800 Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}S/ET.9.1.41. re 2-B-50 I was very interested to receive Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/EIW.5.1.41. 2-B-50 is a mongrel car, with a good many obsolete parts on it. Since manufacture is so difficult during the war, we have had to concentrate on one or two cars to try and bring them up to date, and leave the remainder. Next time you borrow a car, we will try and arrange for it to be 3-B-50, and I think you will agree that none of your criticisms of the chassis will apply to this car, though the instrument board and bonnet have not been brought into line with our ultimate requirements.
