(5) ENGINE & RELEASE CLUTCH etc. complete with driving pieces G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 83666 int. the cross-member and then secure the 3 bolts G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 79776. Therefore, as these bolts, owing to their inaccessibility cannot be locked by centre punching as required by the above scheme, and also to avoid any difficulty when dismantling, it is recommended that spring washers should be substituted for the E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} 6007 plain washers called for on the I.O.F. GEAR BOX & FORWARD GEAR - LOP. G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 83318 The 1st. speed selector mechanism shown on W.B. 4276 is not a satisfactory production job from an assembly standpoint. The chief difficulty is that there is nothing to hold the selector jaw in position whilst the rear half of the box is assembled. 3rd. and 4th. MOTION SHAFT - LO. G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 83778. The loose washer G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 83433 in the centre roller race R.L. 10 F.{Mr Friese} on the 3rd. Motion Shaft is too small to retain the rollers. Actually this washer should be supplied by Hoffmann's as part of the bearing. REVERSE GEAR & BRAKE MECHANISM - LOP. G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 81098 The reverse catch plunger G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 53067 requires shortening .050 as the shoe length of Plunger Spring G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 53077 limits the amount of lift. HAND BRAKE MECHANISM & GEAR - LOP. G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 83538 The Pull Rope Jams on the Bell Crank Levers G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 83538/9 foul the road springs on rebound and the long arm of the lever requires setting up about .107 to clear. FRAME & FITTINGS - LOP. F.{Mr Friese} 84707 (1) If the one .3187 hole in the distance piece F.{Mr Friese} 86271 could be opened out to .5625 diam. the same as the others, the one piece would do for both sides of the frame. (2) The F.{Mr Friese} 86289 Distance Piece for the Rear Dumb Irons should be left sufficiently long to allow for adjustment continued. | ||
