| 40/50. HP. CHASSIS - MATERIAL. Please note it has been agreed between Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} that the follow ing modifications should be instructed for the next Series of 40/50. Chassis material. Crank shaft. Clutch Oil Valve with taper seat should be instructed as Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} hopes to get Standardization Sheet completed before the Works get on with production of these parts. Valves & Tappets. The modified bottom valve spring washer E.22630 should be instructed and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} will arrange to get the Standardization Sheets issued as soon as possible. Exhaust Fittings. Swan Neck Support E.22499/500/1. should be instructed. Standardization Sheet has been completed with the exception of R.{Sir Henry Royce} Controls. Bushed Aluminium Bracket for Throttle Closing Lever should be instructed. The safety device to prevent working of the throttle being affected by Exhaust Choke Valve seizing cannot be instructed until the latest scheme from W.W. has been tested out. Front and Rear Springs. We should instruct the cover for the rear spring pivots as Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} proposes to get the Standardization Sheet completed as soon as possible. Spanners & Tools. The single ended jaw spanners and expanded type box spanners should be instructed. BY/C. | ||
