Inefficiency on 20/25 is usually due to oil on servo. Oil feed to servo is now deleted on new cars and Depot Sheet Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}253 has been issued, instructing retrospective action. Depot Sheet Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}252 describes treatment for inefficient servos. Oil guards to Depot Sheets Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}224 and Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}232 are being fitted.

An improvement can be effected by fitting new RAD.II type fabrics. This material is now available for all PH.II and 20/25 cars. See Depot Sheets Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}185 and Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}196. Modifications to synchromesh mechanism reduces jagger on second gear.
