Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X7941 BY/Cgh.{W Clough}1/G.20.4.34. PHANTOM 11. 10,000 MILES TEST CAR - T.2. SERIES. With reference to the discussion which took place in your Office on Tuesday, the 17th April, the following eight modifications were agreed to for T.2. series production chassis :- (1). Easy brake adjustment. (2). Brake Equalising Shafts with spherical bearings. (3). Backed off second speed gear dog teeth. (4). Semi-isolation floorboards. This has already been instructed for the previous series. (5). Washer adjustment to crown wheel. (6). Fan. Material for the present fan to be held up for the time being with a view to the possible introduction of a more silent fan. (7). Exhaust system. We are holding up the suspension scheme until further tests have been made with the flexible suspension. (8). Petrol Tank. Parts affected by the introduction of the concealed luggage grid are being held up until a decision is arrived at by Sales Department. It was proposed that GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} be asked to load up the luggage grid on 28-EX. Other features were discussed as follows :- (a). Eccentrically mounted dynamo pinion. It was agreed that this was a matter for the Works to decide whether they wish to have this scheme. (b). Brake linings fitted to shoes with bifurcated rivets. This scheme is already on production, and we are informing the Works that it is important to make sure that the linings are well riveted up. | ||
