BENTLEY CHASSIS.
Re :- Road Springs.

In regard to the cost of rolled eyes against solid forged eyes on the road springs for Bentley chassis, Messrs. Firth & John Brown inform me that they can reduce the price of the springs if rolled eyes are used, by 10/- a spring, £2.0.0d. per set.

They have at the moment ready for upsetting :-
(a) 63 top plates for front springs.
(b) 103 top plates for rear springs,
and wish to know if they are to forge these or use these plates to make top plates with rolled eyes.
