X5770 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} SECRET. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M10.6.25. INDIA - 9-G-111. X.5770 X.5410 Referring to your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG8.6.25, would you kindly send us further particulars of this spring, that is, as to weight, number plates, thickness if possible, etc. This was the one we saw on the car here which had very little clearance below the rubber buffer. It is possible that it was initially overstressed. The stress on these springs has been dropped over 10,000 lbs.per sq.in. and on the new 25% springs over 15,000 lbs.per sq.in., and in consequence we should certainly expect some improvement.
