Secret. ---------- cc. C.DJ. C.wer. C.HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} +5770 BY7/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 10.6.25. "INDIA" PLUS F.W.B. ---------- Referring to R6/M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} 29.5.25. and the modifications referred to by R in connection with:- a/- springs. b/- leverage on servo. c/- modification to the operating cams in the front wheel brakes themselves. it would appear from R's memo he considers the present designs are unsatisfactory, and this being so, it would certainly appear to be desirable to stop work on the parts mentioned by R.{Sir Henry Royce} which he proposes to replace. Stopping work on these parts and the replacing of same by the new designs will of course mean delay, as at the moment we have not actually received the designs referred to by R.{Sir Henry Royce}, but the proposed changes, coupled with R's reasons for making same, make it abundantly clear that in R's opinion the present schemes are not such as to cover the conditions of working the four wheel brake on the present 20 HP. chassis. I have discussed this matter with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} who has been over the whole matter with R.{Sir Henry Royce} himself, and he concurs that the position is as stated above. BY.{R.W.
