Further to the report JC 37 15-7-26 more tests have been carried out on charging to the characteristic V=17 - 25A The battery tested was S1 having 3 old P&R cells & 3 old Exide cells. The battery was first charged at a constant current of 6.0 amperes, the highest sustained P.D. being 15.5. It was then low rate discharged through an invariable external resistance of 1.80 w - gave 54.7 ampere hours.
