For Installation At Any order based upon this proposal must be submitted within 15 days from date, and if accepted by this Company, will be so accepted only with the understanding that the agreement to deliver the foregoing, the delivery, and the date of delivery are contingent upon strikes, stoppages of labor, accidents, fire, flood, acts of God or of the public enemy, riots, civil disturbances, shortages of fuel or raw material, delays or stoppages of transportation and all other causes beyond our control. In the event that because of any of the above circumstances, it is not reasonably possible for us to make delivery at the date above specified, we may deliver at a date later than the date above specified by a period of time equal to the duration of the interfering or preventing cause. Dear Sirs, We beg to thank you for your letter of the 8th instant referring to your enquiry of the 12th ult. in connection with your requirements for vacuum pump for installation in your carburettor testing plant. We note your air requirements are approximately 450 cu.ft. per minute and maximum vacuum conditions 20" Hg. mercury. We offer for your consideration, our Size L6 "Nash Hytor" Vacuum Pump running at 575 rpm, at which speed the pump will handle 424 cu.ft. per minute at 20" Hg., absorbing 22 B.H.P and requiring 25 B.H.P driving motor. We take it you wish to provide your own electrical equipment and for the requisite rating we would suggest you install a slip ring machine. We therefore quote you for this unit complete with flexible coupling and combined baseplate to take both the pump and your driving motor as follows:- ONE - Size L6 "Nash Hytor" Vacuum Pump in standard cast iron construction, equipped with inlet seal water regulating and shut-off cocks, suitable silencer for the air discharge, together with 2" G.M. spring loaded relief valve; the pump mounted upon cast iron combined baseplate and direct connected through flexible coupling to your driving motor.
