This magneto has now been removed from an exptl chassis having completed 16,674 miles running. We have examined it, in the lab and after dismantling and cleaning the various components, tested it on our bench rig. The magneto was found to be in good condition mechanically, very little wear had occurred in the bearings. The tungsten contact breaker points especially shewed up well, very little wear having occurred, and the surfaces were entirely free from pitting or oxidation.
