A case has occurred where inadvertently someone in this Department referred to Rover cost figures when discussing prices with an outside supplier. This got back to the Rover Co. who were naturally upset about it. The Rover Co. have from time to time been good enough to supply us with a great deal of information on costs; so have other firms. We should be glad if all concerned could treat the information so obtained as absolutely confidential, otherwise we cannot expect to benefit from these people's confidences.
