TELEPHONE 8081(7 LINES). TELEGRAMS: "ROVER,"COVENTRY." 1091 THE ROVER COMPANY LTD. COVENTRY, ENG. SBW:ME. January 3rd 1939 W.A. Robotham Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd, DERBY. Dear Robotham, I am in rather a difficult position over tyres. As you know we have fitted the Avon for some years, and have found it at least as good or better than any other make we have tried. Nevertheless, a good deal of pressure is brought to bear on us to change to one of the better known makes. I feel this is mainly due to propaganda but I am getting rather tired of combating it. I believe there is a prospect of your using Avon and if you are going to it would of course influence me a good deal in the direction of continuing with them. If you could give me any confidential information on the subject it would help me, but if it is a question that I ought not to ask then I know you well enough for you to say so. Yours sincerely, S.B.Wilks. | ||
