To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Mr.Fedden's Car.

He says that in regard to the brakes the rear ones squealed worse than the front ones and, therefore, he does not think that the cycle type wings can be blamed.

As squeaking brakes are not a source of complaint on Bentley's I thought you would like to look into the matter specially.

Re Speedometer and horns, he writes as follows:

"Speedometer, Rev Counter, Lamps and Horns. I note what you say about these. No one wants to buy Foreign equipment less than I do, if one can find good class English stuff, but I can assure you I have never had good results from the English equipment I had on my Bentley car. Perhaps the cause was due to incorrect fitting, adjustment, and focussing by the Body Builders. What I would like to do would be to have the car back with the speedometer, rev counter, lamps and horns adjusted as your Works consider are satisfactory, and I will then give them a fair trial again, and shall be delighted if they give satisfaction and do their job properly.

"If after this equipment has been tuned by your experts and still, in my opinion, is unworthy of the car, I will then change to foreign lamps and horns and accept your kind offer of an allowance.

"I am most anxious to give time for the car to be absolutely satisfactory, and, therefore, I propose leaving it with your Works for this next week.

Yours sincerely, (Sgd) A.H.R.Fedden."
