Dear Sirs, Your improved petrol filter has been running for some considerable time on our experimental tests. The only trouble we have experienced has been a mysterious shortage of petrol on two occasions when the filter should have been practically clean. On examination we found that the gap between the plates on this filter seemed to be .001" less than that on the Zenith filter. Additionally, the plates are 25% wider and the spacing bars arranged diagonally both of which factors may influence the flow somewhat. We therefore suggest that you increase the gap between the plates by .001" and that it might also be advantageous that you reduce their width to .100". We do not then think that we shall have any further trouble with obstructed petrol flow and we believe that its filtering capacity will still be equivalent or better than that of the Zenith. We enclose a ring from the Zenith petrol filter. Yours faithfully, | ||
